Friends For Life

I have recently moved. This is not new news. This is technically old news as I have been in New York for nearly a month and this entire blog/site/videos/life of mine is about this move. Anywho- I've noticed something in my life that I can't help but want to share.

I have amazing friends.

I spent nearly two hours talking to a wonderful British Colombian beauty on Skype (my new addiction) and it was blissfully amazing. Not only is said wonder brilliant in her own mind, but she was a breath of fresh air that revitalized me a little bit. I feel like I've been a little bogged down with the idea of my site because in my own mind- I feel like i need to be writing something full of impact and stories that inspire- but y'know... I can't go with that intention.

Nobody steps out of the house in the morning and says to themself "I am going to go into the world and shake the core of humanity as a whole with my brilliant thoughts that are brilliant!"

If they did, they would be a douche.

I've always stood by the idea that just by being your honest true to God self you are doing exactly what you're meant to do. By being who you are and who you were created to be, then you are making an impact. So uh.. yeah. I'm just gonna be real on here, haha.

Now, after all of that, I SURVIVED IRENE!!! Seriously, a whole 24 hours without electricity, internet, and running water made me feel like the prissiest person ever. How did I become so dependent on such trivial things? Okay, the electricity and running water parts aren't trivial, but I should have been able to survive better than I did. Granted, Tab and Michael made it a super fun time either way.

We headed upstate to avoid the storm and stayed in an amazing cabin in the mountains. Most of it felt like I was in a Friday The 13th movie, but y'know... I'm kind of into that. It was fun nonetheless.

We came back on Monday Morning (just in time for me to make it to an interview! Thank you, Mavle!) and it was like Brooklyn hadn't been touched. Thank you Jesus! We came back to full electricity, no flooding, and the magic of a much needed nap!

Well I am off to listen to some Glee and hang with my peeps! The Great Apartment Hunt will begin soon and it's already stressing me out. No joke. Stay Golden my friends!!!
